Program Role

Zarinah graduated from the University of South Florida with a B.S. in English Education and a Master's in English Education from Wayne State University. After a six year career of teaching English to middle and high school students, she transitioned to higher education administration and joined the University of Michigan's Pathology Dept. where she coordinated the administration for the Department’s M.D. Education Program (primarily students in their first, second, and fourth year of Medical school). Since 2007, Zarinah has served as the Administrator and Graduate Studies Coordinator for the Immunology Graduate Program and in 2012 she also became the Administrator and Graduate Studies Coordinator for the Cancer Biology Graduate Program. In this role, she aids in the development, planning, implementation, evaluation, and management of all administrative, business and operational procedures for the Immunology and Cancer Biology Graduate Programs.
